Domain Registrar
A domain registrar is a company that manages the reservation of Internet domain names. Domain registrars are accredited by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) to manage the registration of domain names for individuals and organizations.
When you register a domain name, you pay a fee to the registrar for the right to use the domain name for a specified period of time. The registrar then adds your domain name to the central registry of domain names, making it available for use on the Internet.
Here are some examples of popular domain registrars:
- GoDaddy
- Namecheap
- Domain.com
- Bluehost
- Google Domains
- Hover
- Name.com
- Network Solutions
- 1&1 IONOS
- Register.com
These domain registrars offer a range of services related to domain registration, including domain name search, domain name registration and renewal, domain name transfer, and domain name privacy protection.
