Pixel
In the context of digital media, a pixel (short for “picture element”) is the smallest unit of a digital image or graphic that can be displayed and controlled by a computer. It is a tiny, square-shaped dot that is assigned a specific color and position on a display screen.
Pixels are the building blocks of digital images and are used to create everything from photographs and graphics to icons and emojis. The more pixels an image has, the higher its resolution and the sharper and more detailed the image will appear.
